Alternative First Aids


This is for first aid only, not to replace fully licenced medical attention, whether from a M.D., Accupuncturist, or hospital. To be applied, until a permanent medical solution is available

The following, is for informational purposes only, and is in no way to be interpreted as diagnosis, treatment, or to take the place of training; whether from a Nutritional Doctor, Medical Doctor, Healer, American Red Cross, Accupuncturist, or Herbalist. It would best be used, by those already trained, to augment there knowledge base.

The American Red Cross is an excellant resource for training and books on first aid. These books have been written by many volunteers and professionals in the field, and are constantly being updated and reviewed for effectiveness. Use these resources for learning to stop bleading through, direct pressure, points and a tourniquet; as well as Cardio-Pulmonary Rescitation (CPR).

  • To start the heart, pinch the inside of the little finger, beneath the fingernail.

  • If heart massage is not possible, or not effective, slap the inside of the thigh, to force a pumping action through the femoral artery.

  • To stop bleeding, gently press legs on the inside of the leg, about 5 inches below the knee. Hold this pressure for several minutes, or until bleeding stops.

  • To stop internal bleeding (hemmoraging), Vitamin K taken internally, or make a tea with shepherds purse. Use 1 teasponn to 1 cup biling water and steep for severla minutes. Take 1 cup as needed.

  • Rushes help to stop excessive bleeding of menstration. Use 1 teaspon of the root and steep for 5-10 minutes in 1 cup boiling water. Drink at least 3 cups. needed.
